Ni semua cuma untuk santapan mata ajer..."feast for the eyes" cos (eventhough i don't know the $$$$$) obviously the price is too hot to handle my dears, unless la duit i berkepuk2 dlm bank macam Paris Hilton sampai utk pet dogs dia pun ada banglo sendiri uhuk!uhuk! (terbatuk2 urut dada)

Lagipun...(untuk menyedapkan hati) bukan boleh pakai lama pun, membazir la pulak kalau dia dah besar panjang..so buat je la yang termampu

Bila la nk carik katil & almari proper tuk budak gumuk tu..sekarang ni dok belasah tido atas toto+comforter susun-3-layer-supaya-empuk dan menggunakan almari laci tingkat plastik cap Giant untuk koleksi baju2nya hehe...hmmm skrg masih praktikal lagi buat camtu, wait till she gets bigger & starts demanding for her own room or bedset..ok...i'll think about that later, when the time really comes hehh..

Susu oh Susu Part 2

When Nayra reaches 12 months, i decided that it is time to change her milk according to her stage. But i was not in a hurry...Nayra's paed, Dr Roliza told me to slowly alternate between the old milk and the one that i am about to change..

As Nayra is taking Enfapro A+ at the time, so it was natural to turn to the same brand but with different stage..so we (Mr. B and i) bought Enfagrow A+. Nayra is not a picky milk drinker, she would drink any milk without hesitance before. This i know because i've tried 3 different milk brands on her, including Anmum, and she would drink as if nothing happens.

So it took me by surprise when she refuses Enfagrow A+....arghhh babiess!!! They are full of surprises. Next step.....switch to Mamil Gold. I admitted that i was a little influenced by the sales lady at the formula milk department in Giant. I was searching blankly for another brand for Nayra when she suggested this brand. According to her, this brand has "immunofortis" for a higher immune system (prevent/lessen cough, flu and fever) and it has 5 times DHA..

How come i didn't know of that, all this while i thought Enfa has the most DHA number in the baby's formula milk industry...so why wait? I grabbed a box for trial and Nayra drinks happily after that.....

Next, came in the big challenge. After about 2-3 weeks consuming Mamil Gold, she was attacked with diarrhea. She pooped with liquid like waste all the time for almost a week. We called abg H to get free advice (lucky to have a brother-in-law who is a doc) and he suggested soy-based milk. This is because there are babies, who, after a period of time would face lactose-intolerant symptom as the intestines could no longer accept lactose in cow-based milk.

Nayra is quite lucky to face this only after she's 12 months old. Well, at least she gets the benefits of cow-based milk during the first year of her life. I couldn't help thinking that somehow soy-based milk is not as nutritional for infants as cow-based milk. Correct me if i'm wrong

Switching from Mamil Gold to Isomil Plus was surprisingly easy for Nayra

Giving your baby formula milk is such an adventurous journey especially for new moms like me. You could end-up with 10 milk brands before your baby gives the thumbs-up sign, and hey it is not cheap. As usual, mothers would do anything as long as their babies are happy.

Right now, the cheapest place to buy Isomil Plus is at Giant (where every other milk brands is expensive). Itcosts around RM56++ compared to Tesco, Cold Storage and normal Kedai Runcit which starts at RM60 and above. Jaya Grocers come second cheapest after Giant for this particular brand (still less than RM60). I don't know for singseh shop (kedai ubat cina) though..

For Enfa and Mamil, the cheapest price is still Speedmart 99....also goes for baby diapers.

Nayra's Progress n Developments

My little buchuk masham honey pumpkin sweetie pie is now 14 months old (as in January)...so what has she been up to, since my last update on her.

Kalau tak silap..last update on her progress was when she was 8 months. old..and 6 months after that, there were quite a few things thatshe had went through

Mari kita lihat apakah perkembangan budak gumuk tu :

1. Merangkak & berdiri - 9 bulan (sebulan sebelum tu merangkak setempat, bergoyang depan belakang macam unta heheh)

2. Tumbuh gigi - juga 9 bulan (tapi tumbuh 2 gigi atas dulu, biasanya org start bawah dulu, org tua2 kata budak macam ni nanti "banyak cakap"..eh betul ker??)

3. Menari - 10-11 bulan macam tu la...mula2 goyang tanpa muzik, then bila dengar lagu TV3 kemain bergoyang lutut, bila dapat musical toys sempena 1st birthday dia, lagi la sakan 'dancing with the stars' dia, lebih mengkagumkan dia cipta sendiri gerak tari yang pelbagai aksi, so ala2 own choreography la hehe...

4. Faham org cakap - 11-12 months, starts with simple words or questions contohnya "Birds","Cats", Duck", "Milk", "Water", "Nayra please take the remote for mama", "Where is babah, tatak or abg shed".....seronok sangat bila nampak dia dah paham sikit2 apa org kata, ada la komunikasi 2 hala kan...oh yeah i talk mostly in english with her so that she has the confidence to communicate in english later on. Everybody else talk in BM with her...so at least she's billingual since beginning, budak2 ni macam span, menyerap ajer apa ilmu yg kita bagi so rugi kalau tak amik peluang tu

5. Tukar susu lembu ke susu soya- 13 months....sebabnya? At this age, dia asyik kena diarrhea (betul ker eja) ajer..lebih kurang seminggu asyik bobo cair , tanya abg ipar yg seorg doc, dia la suggest tukar ke susu soya, Alhamdulillah lepas minum ajer susu soya, bobo dia kembali normal...nasib baikkkk la Nayra tak memilih, so bertukarlah dari Frisolac comfort--->Frisolac Gold--->Enfapro A+--->Mamil Gold--->Isomil Plus.......................maknanya dah 4 kali la budak gumuk tu dah bertukar susu...ok ok....for mothers like me isu susu ini sangat penting & serius ok..kena buat update asing ni on next entry

6. Tido sampai ke pagi tanpa bangun malam menyusu - 13 months jugak...Hmmm selalunya Nayra akan tido lebih kurang jam 9.30 malam, dan akan bangun jam 2 pagi untuk minum susu sambil mata terpejam then terus tido balik. Tapi starting at this age, surprisingly (for me) dia dah boleh bertahan sampai ke pagi tanpa susu....tapi memang bangun awal la..lebih kurang jam 6 pagi, time ni terus bancuhkan dia susu sebab kesian kot2 lapar dahaga

7. Perkembangan paling ditunggu2....BERJALAN- 13 months...masa kami tengah bercuti di Bukit Gambang Water Resort, masa tu dah boleh berjalan banyak langkah tanpa takut2 lagi. Sebelum tu at 12 months old, dah boleh jugak 2 3 4 langkah pastu jatuh..and dia pun masih teragak2 lagi so tak kira la kan....hurrrayyy..seronoknyer! Senang sikit nak bawak dia jenjalan...masih ku ingat lagi pergi ke Giant dukung Nayra tanpa stroller, Mr B tunggu di kereta ajer..diriku masuk Giant dgn Nayra cuma nak beli roti ajer, end-up aku amik 3-4 barang sekali, pegang satu tangan..yang tangan sebelah lagi dukung Nayra, azabnya Tuhan sajer yang tahu. Termengah2 diriku sementara nak sampai ke cashier sampai barang tergolek..haha biar barang yg tergolek jangan aku hehe...oh ya Nayra ni golongan baby yang tidak kecil molek...tu pasal azab mendukung dia lebih dari 3 minit

Okay...that's all i can think of right now, mentang2 la azam baru nak update blog selalu, panjang lebar la pulakk...tapi sebenarnya kan memang dah lama entry ni dok peram kat CPU kepalaku, lega bila dah upload ke sini hehehe....

Welcome 2011!!

After a long silence..(yess people! my blog is still alive), i decided to start fresh this year..

Is it one of my new year resolutions? Yes! Aside from "Go on a diet" (as alwayss...huarghhh) and "Take better care for my health because age is catching up"

Really hope i'm not as lazy as last year to at least frequently update my blog, if not everyday.

As for my little baby Nayra..she sure has grown now, will update on her progress as well (can u believe my last update was like 3 months ago)

Kenangan AidilFitri 2010

This year Raya fall on 10th September...and it is now 28th October. aduhaii memang layak la tajuk entry ni "kenangan"..citer dah tak valid, all because of my laziness to update hehe..

But i don't have the heart to just let Raya moments be gone because this year is Nayra's first raya. So here is some of the moments i would like to share :

Pasangan suami isteri tak sedondon hehe..Mr B malas nak buat baju, katanya membazir pakai boleh kira jari, so in case the Baju Melayu looks familiar just keep it to yourself haha..Nayra dah tak mampu senyum time ni, badan makin panas last2 bukak baju raya..sempat pakai kejap jer, takpe la sayang..tahun depan kita raya puas2 kay

Hobi Nayra dan baby2 seusianya sekarang...kadang tgk terhibur, kadang kelakar kadang nak jadi "hulk" pun ada...layan photos.....

Sedang mengemaskini stok stokin2nya..lepas tu puas mama dia nk cari balik pasangan2 socks yg dah berterabur tu
Dengan muka tak bersalahnya...agaknya dalam hati dia kata "Mama, i just want to help you clear up the shelf" hmmm yeah Nayra...go for it! Babies learn a lot while making lots of messes aren't they?

Ni tak dapat kaki lagi..kalau dah pandai berlari nanti tak tau la

Kenangan Ramadhan 2010

Macam biasa la..udah lama tak update blog, nasib baik blog tak bersawang..kalau tak jenuh nak tepis sawang2 tu haha..

This year's Ramadhan is so special. Ada ahli baru dalam keluarga yang tolong menggamatkan suasana..exactly like what i had envisioned while she was still in the womb

Kalau dulu..berbuka puasa dgn suasana yg sangat tenang, tahun ni jenuh dok melayan tuan puteri tu. Selalunya dekat2 nak berbuka tu, dah siap2 bawak dia ke meja makan, letak dia kat highchair then suap dia makan. So sambil buka puasa tu sambil suap dinner dia, and kalau dah abis bagi dia biskut baby pulak kasik dia makan sendiri so that tak kacau mama nak menikmati makanan

haaa..macam ni la dia kalau time nak berbuka, makanan kena kasik jauh sikit, see how she looked at the food? Tangan tu dah siap nak terkam ajer..oh ya my family usually have our meals at our kopitiam table in the kitchen je..senang & ringkas! Malas nak pakai proper dining table at the dining room..it is usually saved for guests
Berbuka puasa kat Merah..kalau org TTDI Jaya tau la Merah ni kat mana..food sedap tapi mahal berdentum, ni makan ramai2 (my family & siblings), kos dia macam makan kat hotel **gulp**
Nampak tak objek belang2 pakai topi kat belakang tu? Dia sorang ajer tak puasa..huhu tak alu!

Ni pulak berbuka puasa kat Hotel Uitm Shah Alam, memang agenda (and lokasi) wajib setiap tahun for me & my families. Sangat berbaloi dgn harganya..not so expensive compared to the hotel yg berbintang2 tu..food wpun tak sebanyak kat hotel 5 star, tapi banyak jugak pilihan. Sesuai dgn kapasiti perut manusia hehe...this year harganya dah jadik RM39 per pax tapi students IPT dapat diskaun 10%. Among the memorable menus tis year is their signature Nasi Ulam, Nasi Briyani yg sangat melt in ur mouth, satay, roti jala menggiurkan dgn kuah durian, Asam Laksa, dessert Tiramisu yg sgt sedap etc etc..eh banyak lagi lah..

Ni saja nak tunjuk badan yg sedikit kurus during bulan puasa ni hehehe...bagi motivasi skit nak turunkan lagi (biasa la isu wajib org pompuan)...

That's it! Nayra..mama just wanna say thanks for cheering up everybody in our family with ur neverending issues ; )

Lunch @ Bubba Gump & Shrimp Co.

I read in an article in Harmoni about a new eatary in Sunway Pyramid offering hot new western menus with mouthwatering pictures of the menus as well, it really got stuck in my head....since Yas & me regularly go to TGI Friday's if we crave for westerns, we got tired of the same menus after the years. So when we came across the articles, the saliva kept on drooling for the delicious looking hot new place!

Last friday (July 29th) we gave it a try...and boy oh boy it was so worth it! Pada sesape teringin nk makan western food yang best beserta 'ambience' yang menarik..silalah try tempat ini di Sunway Pyramid!

Refreshing beverages...Yas chose a combination of mango juice, orange juice & lemonade while i settled for a lemonade with strawberries..
Menu: Bourbon Catch of the Day (fish or chicken). I chose chicken cos the fish of the day was Tallapia...i hate freshwater fish aside from keli goreng berlada and so that's how the chicken got served instead! It has yummy shrimps as sidekicks and on the sideline is mashed potatoes garnished with fries...last but not least, creamy cheese gravy poured on them. The only downside of it is it has no veggies...if only they serve this with freshly steamed broccolies/asparagus...yg hijau2 kat atas tu hiasan jer duhhh!!

Yas tried salmon..i gave it a passed cos it has rice. Bila makan western ni rasa cam tanak ada nasik hahaha..eksennnya! Well..this salmon offering has buttered rice and asparagus with carrots as its sideline. It tasted ok but if only they cook the salmon "well done" as i preferred. By the way this is the only menu that has salmon, so for salmon lovers..take this or leave it haha..

The ambience...rasa macam ada kat tepi pelabuhan bot2 nelayan di US, tapi sebenarnya tempat ni mengambil inspirasi daripada filem Forrest Gump. The whole place is decorated with momentoes from the film

2 orang kakitangan kerajaan yang sedang menikmati western food idaman...oh yeah lupa letak gambar desert, but you can clearly see it right in the middle...bread pudding with cinnamon, served with vanilla ice-cream on top & custard pudding around it, OMG so yummylicious...tapi sebab dah kenyang giler makan main meal, tak abis pun desert tu..luckily we ordered refreshing beverages to kill-off rasa muak tu...silalah try kalau teringin hehe

Celebrating boss's birthday

Friday..29th of July....my boss's birthday, usually i would forget but this year, after a meeting somebody brought out a cake for her and the rest of the people made an effort to sing her the birthday song...

Luckily i had my camera with me..so this year Pn. R...i wish you Happy Birthday & hope u are blessed Amin...p/s: please grant us more "Cuti Rehat" please!!!!
